Can God restore you?

Today’s Scripture

Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?” Says the LORD” Ezekiel 37:3 NLT

Today’s Thought
In other words do you believe that God can make those bones become alive again? That no matter what is going on in your life and how bad it may appear, do you believe God can breathe life back into you and your situation? What we believe impacts everything about us! How we look at everyday life, how we look at problems and issues that we will face. The spirit of the Lord took Ezekiel to a valley of dry bones, in verse 11 it says that the old dry bones represent the Israelites, you and I; they are saying all hope is gone, is that you today? God tells Ezekiel to prophesize to the bones telling them to listen to the word of God and they will come back to life! Evidently those bones stopped listening to the word of God and they became dried out and withered, scattered all over the valley floor of life. If you are withered and dried out and your life seems scattered and in pieces, it is time to listen to the word of God again so He can put the broken pieces back together to make you alive and whole again. Today and this year make a point to go to places that is prophesizing the word of God, find friends and people that have come alive again because of God’s word, spend time with the creator of the life giving word, Jesus, so you can blossom into the person God intended you to be! Start living the abundant life today and listen to God’s word!

Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, today I thank You and praise You for wanting to rebuild us, restore us and rejuvenate us through Your Son Jesus. Lord Jesus, show me how to plug into the Kingdom of God and blossom through a relationship with You. Show me how to live the abundant life by listening to the word of God! Today Lord Jesus I choose to stand strong in faith knowing that you have good plans for me today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God Bless you today as you start believing again!

Stop talking to the enemy!

“Who told you that you were naked?” the Lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?” Genesis 3:11 NLT

Today’s Thought

God didn’t tell Adam and Eve that they were naked. That would have been the serpent or Satan. Satan lured them into their sin and then he condemned them for it. Up until when the serpent entered the scene all the conversations they had were with God. Listen to what God was saying to them in Genesis 1:26 – 30:

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground. “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” Then God said, “Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground—everything that has life.

God was giving them life and Satan wanted to take it away! Speaking with God gives life – speaking with the enemy destroys life. God created them in His image, wanted them to be fruitful and multiply, to reign and to have everything that gives life! Instead they listened to the deceiver, the liar and con artist. Satan will con you out of your blessings if you let him! Stop talking to the enemy and start talking to God! He will give you life, give you peace, give you love, give you blessing and gives you forgiveness!

Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, today I thank You and love You for Your Kingdom words, words that lift us up and not put us down. Lord Jesus, show me how to choose words that make me fruitful and multiply. Show me how not to listen to the enemy and how to avoid his words that kill, steal and destroy! Today Lord Jesus I choose to stand strong in faith knowing that you have good plans for me today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God Bless you today as you stop listening to the enemy and start listening to God!

No more hiding!

Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” Genesis 3:9 NLT

Today’s Thought

God called Adam to come out of his hiding back in the garden and today God is calling us out of hiding as well. Adam had made a mistake; then the enemy condemned Adam into extreme shame to the point of hiding. God banished them from the garden so they wouldn’t eat the fruit from the tree of life. If they had done that they would forever live in shame and that isn’t God’s plan for us. So Adam was hiding behind his tree of shame! What tree are you hiding behind? Is it the tree of addiction? If so know that God created addiction, we just get addicted to the wrong things! God wants us addicted to Him! Are you hiding behind the tree of fear and worry? God commands us 365 times not to fear and worry. Fear is Future Events Appearing Real and most times they don’t come true therefore we spent our time away from God, family and friends worrying! Are you hiding behind the tree of past hurts, regrets and disappointments? 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” God says that He forgets our past and so should we. Jesus wipes our slate clean so we can start fresh and anew. No matter what tree you are hiding behind know that God is calling you out today so you can start living the abundant life through a relationship with His Son. God has a plan for you, a plan for good not hiding, a plan for a future and hope not dread and worry! Come out of hiding and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior. When you do peace and joy, favor and blessings, love and forgiveness will enter your life! Don’t wait come out today!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, today I thank You and love You for calling us out of our hiding from You. Lord Jesus, show me how to stay away from the trees that lead to spiritual death in our lives. Show me how to confess and become cleansed today so I can hiding behind the tree of shame, addiction, and my past! Today Lord Jesus I choose to stand strong in faith knowing that you have good plans for me today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God Bless you today as you start confessing and hiding from Jesus!

Pick Jesus!

And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:9 NKJV

Today’s Thought

Most people don’t know the real reason that Adam and Eve were banished from the garden by God. Most believe that it was because they sinned. We see the real reason in Genesis 3:22, Then the Lord God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!” God doesn’t want us to live forever in sin, guilt or shame! His plans for us include forgiveness with a future and a hope! The enemies plan for you is unforgiveness and no hope! God did us a favor by banishing them from the garden. Now thanks to Jesus we can be forgiven for our sins, past mistakes and future mistakes. Part of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is that God loves us and Satan doesn’t! If you feel banished from God today it’s only because you have eaten from the tree of evil and not of good. When you eat the good fruit of the tree of knowledge you will know you are forgiven, loved, wanted and valued. If you eat the wrong fruit from the tree of evil you will feel unwanted, unloved and undeserving. Today start picking victory not defeat, pick new beginnings not old endings, pick blessings not curses, pick healing not sickness, pick life not death, and pick love not hate. Start picking the good fruit from the tree of knowledge by seeing what God’s word says about you. See what the plans that God has for you and not the plans of the enemy. Join others who are picking the good news fruit from the tree and not the bad news fruit!. God wants more than anything that you have a lifetime with Him living in peace and joy, favor and blessings! Start picking the abundant life in Jesus today!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, today I give you thanks for making a way out of a lifetime of guilt and shame. Lord show me how to pick the fruit that says I am loved, I am valued and I am needed in your garden. Lord Jesus show me how to be filled love, peace and joy. Lord Jesus I declare Your word over my life and help me to totally trust in You today and always. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

May God bless you today as you pick life and not death!

Extreme Shame!

“At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.” Genesis 3:7 NLT

Today’s Thought

Adam and Eve had just eaten the fruit from the tree of good and evil. They had made a very costly decision. They were warned by God Himself not to eat from that tree because it would cause death – a spiritual death! The scriptures tell us that at the very moment they ate from the tree and disobeyed God they felt shame – extreme shame! Where does extreme shame come from?? Some shame is ok because it prompts us to confess it to God for forgiveness. Extreme shame comes from Satan. His goal is to get us to sin and then condemn us into extreme shame where we don’t know how to deal with it. The longer we don’t confess our sin to God the more the enemy tells us that God won’t forgive us and we messed up too bad this time. Adam and Eve didn’t know how to handle this extreme shame so they began to cover themselves with fig leaves. We do the same thing like overeat, drink too much, isolate, lie, give up, believe that we are unloved, undeserving or unwanted. God never told Adam and Eve to sew fig leaves on themselves because that would cover-up the mistake and not to deal with it. No it was the enemy that probably suggested that option not God. The enemy learned that day how to separate us from God – extreme condemnation and covering up! The only way out comes from 1 John 1:9, “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” Confess today and be cleansed from all sin, bad decisions and condemnation through Jesus today!

Today’s Prayer

Heavenly Father, today I thank You and praise You for giving us a way out of our bad decisions and sin through Your Son Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, show me how to stay away from the trees that lead to spiritual death in our lives. Show me how to confess and become cleansed today so I can stop covering up with hurts, habits and hang-ups! Today Lord Jesus I choose to stand strong in faith knowing that you have good plans for me today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God Bless you today as you start confessing and uncover ourselves to Jesus!

Commanded not to worry!

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34

Today’s Thought

Webster Dictionary defines worry as:
“An uneasy state of mind usually over the possibility of an anticipated or projected misfortune and trouble. To afflict with mental distress or agitation: make anxious, to feel or experience anxiety.”

Top Ten Reason not to Worry from a secular point of view:

1. Worry is a Complete Waste of Time
Worry changes nothing. We don’t accomplish anything or find answers to our questions by worrying. We also cannot add anything to our life by worrying. Worry can only subtract from our lives by causing such infirmities like ulcers or coronary thrombosis. Worry is just muddling away today’s time to clutter up tomorrow’s opportunities with yesterday’s troubles.

2. Worry is Unnecessary
Worry can’t erase the mistakes of the past. It can’t unravel the answers to the future. It can’t make anything better in the present. Hence, there is no need for worry because it is inessential.

3. Worry Contradicts Common Sense
We must learn to live one day at a time. God has given us our lives in units of twenty-four hours and we should take life a day at a time. If we wish to live a long and fruitful life, we should respect and live by the biological clock He has built inside us.

4. Worry is Illogical
Worry is illogical because it is futile, unproductive and pointless. It is faith in the negative, trust in the unpleasant, assurance of disaster and belief in defeat. We do not know what tomorrow may bring, so there is no point in worrying about it. Why look ahead and worry about things that have not yet happened. They may just never happen anyway.

5. Worry Creates the Problem
If we are focused on our fears, we are more likely to crash into them. Thinking about them is a confirmation bias of their existence making them exist even if they aren’t really there.

6. Worry Distracts Our Attention
Worry distracts us from the duties of the present. It grabs our attention from the things of utmost importance. It interferes with our highest functioning and delicious enjoyment of life. Worry is an uninvited guest who spoils all our fun, making our shoulders droop and forehead crease just when we should be feeling triumphant or carefree or filled with hope.

7. Worry Doubles Our Problems
To anticipate future troubles by worrying about them today is to double them. We already have enough troubles today. Today’s problems are all we are capable of handling. Worrying for tomorrow stacks up more problems than we can handle.

8. Worry Diverts our Point of Life
Life is far more important than material things. So often our worries are about relatively unimportant and trivial matters, such as food, drink, clothing, houses and cars. If we seek fulfillment in material things, we are missing the whole point of life. The point of life is the fulfillment of our purpose. Our life purpose is a combination of three things: who we are at the very core, our vision for our self and what we see possible for the world and our values. Instead of working out for our purpose, worry takes us away from the main stream of life completely diverting us from our point of life.

9. Worry is Toxic to our Health
When we worry, every system in our body is affected. Blood clotting increases, blood pressure rises, and the liver produces more cholesterol, all of which raises our risk of heart attack and stroke. Muscle tension gives rise to headaches, back pain, and other body aches. It also triggers an increase in stomach acid and either slow or speed up muscle contractions in our intestines, which can lead to stomach aches, constipation, diarrhea, gas or heartburn. Worry can also affect our respiratory system by aggravating asthma.
It is a medical fact that worriers die sooner than the non-worriers. That is because, as Dr. E. Stanley Jones says, “we are not designed to live in fear and worry.” To live by worry is against our own nature. That is why worry is so destructive.

10. Worry Affects the People we Love
The Greek word for “worry” is “merimnaw” which literally means “to be drawn in different directions.” In logical terms, worry tears us to pieces spiritually, psychologically, physically and even socially. When we become too focused on our worries, we forget about the things that really matters, even the people we care. It is a constant and dominating force that disrupts our lives and disconnects us from others.

Confess your worry and ask God to remove it in Jesus name!!
